About this list
Junior chess carries much of the club scene in Bucharest. CS Oxigen, the Sector 2 council club, takes beginners from the age of five and brought home medals from the national junior team championships; the Mihail Marin club in Sector 6 also sent several teams there. The Square and Chess Station keep children’s groups beside the adult ones, ChessMasters in Sector 1 and Șah Puf Junior in Otopeni run a junior grand prix together, and ACS Master Mind organises children’s cups.
CS Alcor plays junior tournaments in shopping centres and cultural houses, CS DLD Kids holds rapids by the Parcul Național, and ACS Șah Club Universul brings school chess to Snagov. Ages and group levels, where a page states them, are on each card.
