Rapid tournaments in Bucharest 8

Many Bucharest tournaments fit into a single day because they are played at rapid time controls. The Trofeul CARO at Hotel CARO and the Maraton MM Silver League stages each take one day, the Mega Mall ChessCraft Arena puts its stages on the second floor of the mall, and the Festivalul Șahului Bucureștean fills a February weekend at ICHB Colentina. The municipal association’s Campionatul Capitalei has a rapid day in autumn.

The Reuniunea Șahistă Chess Architect plays rapid and blitz at its one-day gatherings in the Unirii View building, Fii Smart, Joacă Șah! brings school-age players to Militari Shopping Center, and the Bucharest Scheveningen has had a rapid edition. Each listing names its sections and the pace of play.
